John oversees editing across the firm’s global research portfolio. He works closely with analysts to ensure Horizon’s insights are clear, precise, and analytically rigorous—helping clients make sense of fast-moving developments in geopolitics, sanctions, security, and stakeholder dynamics in emerging markets.

John brings more than two decades of editorial experience across journalism, political risk, and corporate communications. He spent a decade reporting from Latin America, contributing to outlets including BusinessWeek and The Hollywood Reporter. He later led the editorial desk at Eurasia Group for ten years and most recently advised multinational companies on brand language and tone at The Writer, a language consultancy.

He holds a BA in Politics and History from the University of Melbourne.
