Marcelo oversees Horizon Engage’s research across Latin America, managing analysts and delivering strategic insight on the region’s political and commercial landscape. He serves as the firm’s lead expert on Argentina, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in political and economic analysis, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.

Based in Buenos Aires, Marcelo’s expertise spans macro-political and regulatory trends impacting the energy and mining sectors, with a deep understanding of policymaking, institutional dynamics, and market conditions across Latin America. His extensive public- and private-sector network helps clients navigate complex and volatile environments.

Prior to joining Horizon Engage in 2019, Marcelo held senior roles in media and government, including positions at The Buenos Aires Herald, the US Embassy in Buenos Aires, Techint Group, and BICE Export and Investment Bank. He writes a weekly column for the Buenos Aires Times and is frequently quoted in international media.

He holds a BA in Communications and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Buenos Aires.
